Demo of Meridian:
(AI) Appreciative Inquiry as a Worked Example.
I am walking you through each Meridian space using AI, Appreciative Inquiry as my worked example. I hope it will help YOU understand and interact with Meridian.
I love to remember, reflect and revisit, I don’t formally diary or journal, but I do keep my notebooks and from time to time look back through them. Those who have worked alongside me know it as one of my foibles or my superpower!

I have come to believe that this habit of looking backwards is actually our deepest human anchor. It is how we build institutional memory.
“AI” (Artificial Intelligence) could serve as our new, automated memory. But there is an older, deeper “AI” that can anchor us: Appreciative Inquiry. While algorithms hunt through data to predict our future, Appreciative Inquiry can mine our lived, human past to direct our future.
Room 1. The Common Place
The Common Place is our civic square, this is OUR space for dialogue, exchange and learning, please come and converse.
a) something to chew on
b) gentle rebellion (small acts of defiance) No. 1: Gentle Rebellion. My short piece to challenge the existing status quo where individuals are scapegoats - or Hippos because I couldn’t find a scapegoat photo!
c) NON sense , “SOMEONE?” sends us mandates?
Room 2. The Reading Room
The Reading Room is a place to stretch our thinking and make connections. It has books that have influenced me, just as a start, please add suggestions. I also hope for re-stacks and peer-reviewed research, your papers and the provocations of ancient and modern thinkers alike.
Today I have added: Appreciative Inquiry as an article. My original article was written when I was deep into systemic studies, written in 1997 or thereabouts. Its application right now is my rebellion against the blame game. I have also added the critique of appreciative Inquiry to balance viewpoints.
Room 3. The Resource Shelf
A place for resources. I have started us off but I want us to fill the space like an attic full of boxes that might just come in handy fsometime?
Welcoming you and your publications and provocations into the Meridian.
