I turned 75 this year. In the traditional script of a life, this is the chapter where the light is supposed to dim. We are told that our role is to be a spectator to a world we no longer recognise.
I refuse to follow that script.
As I stand at what I call the “Twist in the Loop”—that curious point where our ancient biological past meets an accelerated digital future—I find I have never felt more necessary.
We are living in the Era of the Digital Pulse. We have merged our lives with a digital intelligence that moves at the speed of light, while our human biology remains beautifully anchored to the speed of breath.
When these two rhythms collide without a buffer, we lose the ambiguous space—that vital, nuanced middle ground where human understanding actually happens.
Futureproof Meridian is the reclamation of that Ambiguity.
It is a “Third Space”—neither a war with technology nor a blind surrender to it. It is a place for parents, educators, and thinkers who want to understand and learn how to flourish in this new landscape.
THE ELDER’S GAZE
There is a biological reason why I am here. One hypothesis suggests that our species survived because elders lived to filter out the “noise” so the community could focus on what really mattered.
In today’s algorithmic world, I am stepping into that role. As a Digital Elder, I am not here to compete with the machine for speed. I am here to provide the human handshake, that the machine cannot replicate. I am here to be:-
An Anchor to hold steady while the digital world pulses and shifts.
An Architect to build depth in a world of skimming.
A Guide to navigate toward connections that feels real

OUR Futureproof Meridian is a pact between generations, I don’t have all the answers. but I have the knowledge and perspective of 75 years of “riding the loop.”
