Learning Allowed is the voice. A platform and a philosophy designed to capture the lived experiences, the quiet triumphs, and the hard-won wisdom of everyone including educators and leaders. The reality of working within complex politicised systems is often drudgery, flattened by data and metrics. Learning Allowed exists to push back- researching learning nationally and internationally, sharing genuine, unfiltered practice:
Reflective Audio Diaries: Preserving the raw, oral history of practitioners as they navigate the frontlines of leadership.
Collaborative Inquiry Circles: Small, trusted spaces where student teachers, can step away and look closely at the actual work of learning.
Storytelling & Research Publishing: Documenting the quiet victories of classroom practice, translating hard-won intuitive wisdom into shared, open-source knowledge.
The Learn 2050® : designed to look beyond immediate political cycles, exploring how we can safeguard the human spirit of education for the next 75 years.
2026 We have been developing H5Learn2050®, recognising children as change makers, capable of acting with agency. Growing up with a strong internal sense of identity, understanding how they can maintain their humanity in a highly digitised world.
how to learn, how to adapt, how to connect. how to develop The Human Edge
In the H5 classroom, we nurture four internal areas:
Identity (The Internal Compass): In a noisy world of algorithms, the child needs a reliable internal signal. You cultivate their Value, their Voice (speaking their truth), and their Vision (shaping their own goals).
Emotional Mastery: A dysregulated brain struggles to learn; a lonely brain cannot thrive. You teach the child to govern their emotional life—not by suppressing feelings, but by recognising them as information.
The Natural Learner: Once the core is steady, the learner’s mind opens. We move beyond rote memorisation to cultivate natural curiosity and critical discernment.
Agency, Action, and Connection: We build the confidence to take the lead and the adaptability to change direction when the path falls away.
👣 Small Steps : Big Gains
The H5 framework is the design, the method is Small Steps : Big Gains, the practical application of neuroplasticity.
